The teen blog staff is open to anyone ages 12 - 18 (grades 7 - 12) who likes writing. We meet once a month to discuss upcoming articles, update the blog, and hang out with other writers. Our next meeting is November 21st, 4:30 pm. At the meeting, new members can receive a blog account so that those who have access to a computer at home or school can update the blog more often. If enough articles are submitted, the blog will be updated twice a week.
Articles can be about anything of interest to teens. Book reviews, music reviews, and CD reviews are all welcome. So are accounts from school events. For example, a student who attended a basketball game could write a sports article about that, or someone participating in an upcoming play could advertise their performance. Our only restriction is that this blog isn’t a place for mean-spirited remarks, so this is not the place for gossip articles.
The library’s teen blog is just starting out, and since it was created for and by teens, what it becomes is all up to you! If you’re interested, I hope you’ll join us at the next blog meeting.

A few days ago I went and saw the movie The Vampire’s Assistant. It was a new twist on vampire movies. They turned what is usually a scary topic into something funny. The Vampire’s Assistant shed a new light on how people view vampires.
The Vampire’s Assistant is based on the book series Cirque du Freak
All in all I believed that it was a very interesting movie.
To all the vampire lovers out there:
This is an interesting movie and a fun new way to look at vampires. Not as good as Twilight, but it was certainly a good movie, and the book series is good as well.
To all the vampire haters out there:
Give this move a chance. Don’t knock it ’till you’ve tried it. Don’t hate vampires if you have never given them a chance. Not all vampires are evil.

I went to the movies Friday night with my older brother. We saw Paranormal Activity. I thought it was an amazing film. It’s not one of those movies that scare you right away, but builds suspense. It’s a slow starter but in the last thirty minutes it’s hard to look away. I recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys being spooked.

The T.C.P.S. volleyball season ended with a winning game. The girls worked hard all year.
The T.C.P.S. volleyball girls ended their season with 2 wins. Although they did not win very many games, they won the best prize of all and that was each others’ friendship.

Tennessee Christian Preparatory School now has a new news website. The website is the schools news paper; it has the ins and outs of the middle/high school, from the school’s activities to the history of the property. There is even an advice column “Ask Addie” and “Question Katie”; they give great advice in a Christ-like way.
The website is not always kept up to date, but when it is the articles are amazing. Good work to all who put their best effort to keep the students of TCPS informed.
Here is the link to the website:

“In Cold Blood” is a murder mystery that takes place in the 50s, is a captivating story that accounts the true story of the Clutter case.
Even though the Clutters are introduced in the beginning of the the book and then killed, a closeness between the reader and the Clutters is formed, the reader becomes a part of the Clutter family.
Perry and his partner in crime Dick are the kind of characters that you can love to hate. These two men have been to prison. Perry was arrested for murder and Dick was arrested for theft. Dick and Perry met in prison and became friends, not close friends but friends all the same.
It was Dicks idea to kill the Clutters, he wanted to money that he believed the Clutters had. Perry was brought along for the ride when Dick got out of prison and wanted Perry to go on a “treasure hunt” with him, little did Perry know at the time he was in for far more than a treasure hunt.
After Perry and Dick kill the Clutters they go home. Dick goes to his parents house and Perry returns to his hotel.
The investigation of the Clutter case continues through Christmas- Clutters were murdered in November. It was early December when the investigators in the Clutter case were tipped of f as to the where-abouts of Dick and Perry.
Dick was the first to confess that it was Perry and himself that had committed the crime, and-telling the police investigators that the murder was Perry’s idea-Perry confessed on the way to prison telling the whole story even details that were not needed.
Dick and Perry were tried and sentenced to die. The two of them spent years in prison before they were finally “hung by the neck until dead”.
