Geek, verb:

  1. To love, to enjoy, to celebrate, to have an intense passion for.
  2. To express interest in.
  3. To possess a large amount of knowledge in.
  4. To promote.

Everyone has something that they are passionate about – something they geek.  Maybe you geek football or hip hop.  Maybe you geek organic gardening or volunteering.  Or maybe you just geek the weather.  Whatever you geek, serious or fun, the library supports you.

So share what you geek with the library @  geek.clevelandlibrary.org today.  Fill out our survey to help us find out what our patrons Geek. We are looking for people to share what they geek and how the library can support you.  “Geek the Library” is a community-based awareness campaign designed to highlight the vital role of public libraries in today’s challenging environment and enhance public awareness.

Family Reading Time at the library will be November 25th at 6:30 p.m. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, bring a non-perishable food product to share with the Caring Place here in Cleveland.  Reading time is for the whole family and the first 10 people will receive a free book.  This is co-sponsored by the United Way of Cleveland.

Teen Book Talk is November 26th at 4:30 p.m. and this month’s book is Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. Open to teens 13 through 17 in the Teen Zone.

Do you still have questions about the Affordable Care Act?  There will be a community meeting December 3rd in our Community Room at 7 p.m.  Coleman Foss, CEO Skyridge Medical, will be presenting the latest information about the new health care act and answer your questions.

The library will be closed November 28th and 29th for the Thanksgiving Holiday.
