An Evening with Crime Novelist C. A. Griffith has been announced by the Friends of the Library Association, FOLA for April 24th at the Cleveland Country Club. C. A. Griffith is a retired Major with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office. His assignments over the following three decades included undercover narcotics, Atlanta DEA Task Force, fraud and fugitive investigations, Commander of Internal Affairs and Assistant Division Commander of Field Operations. He retired to devote his full attention to writing Grey Colson crime thrillers.
There will be an Author Reception at 6 p.m. for $35 per person or $60 a couple and the Author Talk at 7:30 p.m. will be $5 or free with a student ID. A Question/Answer Session and Book Signing will follow the Book Talk.
Movie Night @ the library will be showing Captain Phillips PG-13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room on March 25th. Captain Phillips is based on the 2009 hijacking of the U. S. Container ship Maersk Alabama by a crew of Somali pirates. Join us for a viewing on the big screen.
Family Reading Night will be filled with Spring Themed Reads on March 24th at 6:30 p.m. The first ten participants will receive a free book. This
The Scribblers Writing Club for Tweens and Teens will be meeting March 27th at 4:30 p.m. in the Children’s Activity Room.
Other activities for Teens this week include Book Talk where they will be discussing Matched by Ally Condie on March 25th at 4:30 p.m. in the Teen Zone. After Hours for Teens, (13 – 17) will be held March 29th at 7 p.m. The library is open for teens only to enjoy great book talking, gaming, watching movies or all of the above.
