Come and try Lasaters Coffee & Tea @ the Library...

Lasaters Coffee & Tea is here!  Lasaters serves their own award winning coffee (Special Coffee Association of America Golden Cup Award recipient for multiple years).  They will be serving Coffees, teas, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, paninis, wraps, soups and pastries.  They are a great addition to what customers can find @ the Cleveland Bradley County Public Library.  http://www.lasaterscoffee.com

Story Times for Children...preschool (ages 3 to 5) Tuesdays & Fridays at 10:30 AM...baby (from birth to 3) Thursdays at 1 PM.

Baby Bop Book Time - 4th Thursday of the month  from 1 -2  PM.  (October 27th next date) ...A time for stories, music, movement and playtime for babies and infants 3 and under and their parents or grands.

Family Story Time...Every Saturday from 2 - 2:30 pm...Stories for the whole family with special crafts.

Rocket Languages is a new service provided to all Cleveland Bradley County Public Library cardholders. Rocket Languages offers guided online instruction complete with audio. You can learn Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish. You can even study American Sign Language!

R.E.A.D.S. (Regional Ebook and Audio Download System)

Library customers have access to downloadable eBooks and eAudio.  They can be either downloaded to compatible eBook and eAudio devices or can be accessed through the computer.  To access this resource, customers need a valid Cleveland Bradley County Public Library card.  New:  15,000 public domain eBooks have just been added.  These titles were scanned through the "Gutenberg Project".  These titles do not count against the checkout limits.

Access over 24,000 eBooks. Many titles will become downloadable in the near future (8.12.11)

Enter your library card without spaces. Then click "Sign In" on top right. TumbleBooks

eBooks for children viewable through your Internet browser.  TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.

The TumbleBookLibrary provides enrichment to students who are reading independently with a variety of high interest material. It also provides support to students who require skill building with a variety of exercises that can be matched with other areas of the curriculum. In general, TumbleBooks are a great addition to a reading program that can be worked on independently by each student or by the whole class. It has been exceptionally well received by ESL and Special Education teachers.
